Signs You Need New Windows or Doors

Joinery is one of those parts of a home we easily get used to, even once it's no longer working properly — right up until a visitor notices a draught, or your heating bill becomes unusually high.
A noticeable draught around a window frame, even with the window closed, is one of the clearest signs it's time for a replacement or at least a seal check. The same goes for moisture or condensation that keeps appearing on the inside of the glass.
If a window or door is hard to open and close, or the frame no longer seems perfectly square, it can mean the structure has shifted over time — which affects the seal, not just how comfortable it is to use.
Finally, if you notice one room is consistently colder than the others even though the heating works the same everywhere, it's worth checking the joinery in that room before blaming the heating system itself.
